Bahrain Mirror: Advocate General and Acting Attorney General to the Terror Crime Prosecution, Hamad Al-Buainain, announced that the investigations into the bomb blast that took place in the Al-Diraz area that led to some material damage to the nearby shops have been concluded.

Al-Buainain added that 30 suspects including 14 detainees were charged with detonating a bomb and possessing fireworks for the purpose of committing a terrorist act, illegal assembly, rioting, possessing inflammable materials and damaging properties of other citizens. The court hearing of this lawsuit is to be held on August, 24, 2015 before the fourth high criminal court.

The Public Prosecution received a report from the Security Directorate of the Northern Governorate on September 28, 2014 about an explosion in Al-Diraz area, thus intensive investigations were conducted to find the perpetrators of this crime. The investigations concluded that there were 30 suspects involved in the attack; 14 of which were arrested while arrest warrants were issued for the rest. The suspects admitted to planning the attack by making a bomb and planting it in the area and preparing molotov cocktails to throw at security forces. The suspects closed down Al-Badi' street and attacked the police patrols who were present in the area and lured them to the site of the planted bomb. When the policemen approached the bomb site, the suspects detonated it resulting in material damage to the nearby shops.

The Public Prosecution based its charges on testimonies of policemen and investigators, confessions of suspects, technical reports and video recording the bomb blast.
