British lawmakers have expressed their "grave concern" about political repression and ongoing repression of political prisoners in Bahrain during the visit of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa to London.

The Imam Al-Sadiq Mosque Friday Preacher in Diraz, west of the Bahraini capital, Manama, Sheikh Ali Rahma, said that "our dear youths, who constitute an important portion of our families are living below the poverty line in difficult economic conditions, and face an unknown future livelihood that does not bode well."

BFHR stressed that the authorities' siege of Diraz to prevent citizens from performing Friday prayers at the Imam Al-Sadiq Mosque for second week in a row, and the official incitement campaigns against religious speech, reflects the complex of persecution and political repression as the state's fixed policy.

Prisoner of conscience Abdulwahab Hussein considered that having “independence in choosing Imams of Friday prayers, congregational prayers, and the content of religious discourse is an inalienable right, and its reinforcement is a great gain that distinguished us. We paid with our blood for it historically and we continue to do so in the present time,” stressing that “it will not remain for us without a price to pay.”

Sayed Abdullah Al-Ghuraifi stressed that “it is unacceptable that official state controls complicate the work of funds, charities and competent agencies.”

Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim stressed that “there is one thing that politics forbids and allows, and even even calls and pays for. It is political discourse at the mosque.”

Sectarian tension is the permanent trick the authorities in Bahrain use to counter the people's demands for political and economic reform in the country. Popular discontent with the government's acts is increasing, so they need something to cause a distraction from all this.

On Sunday, June 11, 2023, regime forces attacked the shrine of the great companion "Sa'asa'a bin Souhan" which includes a shrine and a mosque in the village of Askar, southern of Manama, where the forces took off its gate and closed its entrance with blocks, according to the "Naba'a" Channel.
